When I was in kindergarten we had a project about what we wanted to be when we grew up. You would expect a kindergarten to say a teacher, or a doctor, but you know what I said, a mommy. Now that is still very true, but first I want to succeed in my other dream of becoming a pediatrician. I’ve always loved the idea of helping kids, while also being in a field of medicine. I plan on graduating high school with an associates degree in science and going on to a school with a good pediatric program. I started cross country my freshmen year of high school and instantly fell in love with the sport, it gave me confidence. I'm the top female cross country and track distance runner at Yuma Catholic. Being a student athlete has taught me the skills of leadership, teamwork, encouraging others, responsibility, and friendships. I hope to bring these skills with me, as well as learn new ones! As a student I can be described as keen, as a runner I can be described as passionate, but most importantly as a person I can be described as nice. Nice is such a simple word, but it means so much more then that. It means saying good morning to the faculty, smiling at people you pass in the halls, saying please and thank you, and giving someone a compliment. I’m that person.
