Ellie Akins '24 Recruiting Profile

To me the most important goal for college is to get an education, but I would love to be able to continue my athletic career while I do this!  I would make a good candidate for your team because I am a hard worker and I want to do whatever it takes to improve!  I am different from other recruits in character because I am a Christian, my faith gives me a firm foundation no matter what I am doing. I am different in athletics because I have been a multi-sport athlete, I have played basketball my entire life and I have also played tennis as well.  As far as running goes I have always been mostly on my own in my events, so I have had to stay self-disciplined and motivated while sticking to my training plans. I am different than other athletes academically because I have maintained above a 4.0 GPA in high school while taking both AP and Honors classes.
