I am an athlete who is willing to go the extra mile, will push even when it hurts and will give my best each and every day. I am very team oriented and strive for my team's success as well as my own. I listen closely to the teachings of my coaches and do my best to apply what I've learned to my practices and meets. I'm always looking for ways to become better and am willing to put in the work; this applies on and off the track. Through this sport I have learned that failure is an important stepping stone to success; not every race is going to be perfect but if you can identify the areas that you need to build in, you can achieve more. What makes me different compared to other athletes is that I run for a cause greater than myself. And because of this, I believe that it has been the underlying factor for my success as a 10-time state champion and a 2-time Gatorade athlete of the year.
