I am a very passionate person. I have been running since middle school. My first coach, Ignacio Flores, has been a great inspiration to me. He saw my potential, and was my biggest fan. He still is! I have loved running and horseback riding for many years, I have been fortunate enough to have my own horse. Horses have taught me a lot about time management and responsibility. Running has taught me discipline and structure.
I would like to run in college for the experience, the team, and the coaching. I feel that running teaches you how to be tough, and tenacious. I am very serious about my academics, I am currently taking honors and AP classes. My goal after my degree in biology is Equine Osteopathy.
I have worked with my mentor, Martine, as an intern through many equine osteopathic appointments. I am a positive, hardworking, and committed to my team. I really want to build relationships with my teammates and push each other to do our best!I look forward to this college experience.
I have been awarded middle school MVP in Track and Field, and middle school fastest runner in XC. Also XC most outstanding freshman and sophomore, as well as Track and Field MVP sophomore year. I have been to CCS for Track and Field and XC, and California State Championships for XC, I have enjoyed the experience of high level competition.
