I would absolutely love to run at the collegiate level. I am a hard-working, determined, and driven athlete who will do everything in her power to put the most effort into practices, races, and the overall team. I am quite the perfectionist, I like to make sure that technical aspects of running such as form, getting out of blocks, and baton passes in relays are performed to the best of my abilities. I view running as an outlet for my daily stress and as a form of meditation. It is the one time when my mind is fully clear and calm. I use running as a way to learn about myself and grow as a person. I have been able to learn how to deal with stress, anxiety, and pressure when approaching races and track meets. I have also been able to use these skills in other aspects of my life. I use qualities like resilience, discipline, and focus that I use on the track in other environments such as school and everyday life. I also make sure that I empower the people on my team, and respect them as teammates but I also admire their skill and use it to make me a stronger runner. Teammates are what makes the track experience unique, while the sport is individual, the team feels like one large family that will be there for one another no matter what happens. I am confident that I will be a great addition to college track teams and I am prepared to work hard and continue to run to improve myself as a person.
