My name is Jesse Redding, and I have been running since I was 5. I absolutely love the sport and how it makes me feel. Along with running, I have also competed in soccer, basketball, swimming, and mountain biking. I narrowed down the amount of sports I competed in as time went on, and as my passion for running grew stronger. I still compete in mountain biking and basketball, second to running of course. My entire year orbits around running, and in the off season when I am doing other sports, running is still a priority. I am very hard working and I know what needs to be done in order to be successful and reach my goals.
Running has brought so many positive things into my life, such as, friendships, lessons, good habits, and mental strength. I have adapted very well to adversity, and while in the moment it was unfortunate, I am so grateful for it now as I see how far I have come as a runner and a person. Academically, I strive to push myself in the classroom, and take advanced classes to ensure that. Along with that, I am a part of the Women's Athletic Organization at my school, helping female athletes get the recognition they deserve.
All in all, I am so so excited to see where this process takes me, as I have been looking forward to it since I first started to run.
