Personal Statement

College has always looked like an exciting milestone for me. I know and understand that it will be difficult, (as my parents were sure to remind me), however I love a good challenge and pushing myself is in my nature.  I am especially excited to do what I love most in college, which is to run.  I Believe I would be a great college runner not only because of my speed or my times, but because of my work ethic and the fact that I dislike downtime and thrive on hard work and challenges. However, despite my competitiveness and drive, I am sure to give credit were its earned, and am sure to motivate and give aid to my team in any way necessary. I know college is the next level, and I am eager to learn and perform.

  • - When I first started to run in 5th grade, my "training" was just running a mile twice a week and calling myself a runner, I soon learned that that was not the way the world worked and began to ramp up my miles until I could run 50 + miles a week by sophomore and junior year. I learned to roll out or you will get injured, I learned the workouts I loved and hated (400 meter repeats are fun, tempo training is NOT), I grew stronger and was able to handle more and more and eventually found the races I cloves to compete in an found my happy place.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
