I grew up playing soccer and basketball so running was a big part of my life. In Middle School I had a chance to join the track team and I really loved the competition and friendships! Before I started my first year at middle school I set a goal to achieve straight A's and involve myself in the schools sports. When I was finished I was awarded Female Athlete of the Year and graduated with a 4.0.
Competing in 4 events for my schools league championship was the highlight of my freshmen year experiences. It helped my school win the championship and I learned how to persevere through mental and physical fatigue. I loved the team relay events running both the 4x100 (and setting a new section all-time record!) and 4x400. The camaraderie and excitement for the run was so much fun!
