Watching my sister compete on the track and seeing what she can accomplish, motivated me to step on the track and see what I can accomplish. With being a junior, I have realized that track and cross country taught me that what I put into practice is what I will get out during a meet. It has also taught me that it is an individual sport and the only thing stopping me from getting better, is me.
In high school, I am working to finish in the first 100 of my class along with a gpa of 3.7 and above. I am looking forward to graduating highschool and furthering my education at a college that suits me.
In the past, I have had shin splints. Along with shin splints comes rest, ice, elevate repeat. This is crucial to becoming a better runner, and has definitely taken a toll on me and my running career. Luckily, I have learned to co-operate with the pain and push through it, which has taught me that pain is only temporary.
