Personal Statement

I have had a passion for running since I was about 12 years old. My siblings inspired me to participate in cross country and track & field. I am a very hardworking student and runner. Maintaining a high GPA is important to me.

My coach from 7th grade to my senior year of high school has been so helpful in pushing me to be a stronger runner. My freshman year of cross country I qualified for state championships and placed 86th out of 195. In my sophomore year of cross country I qualified again and made 43rd place out of 209.

Participating in collegiate sports sounds like an opportunity one would love to experience. Teamwork is very important to me as I strive to be a hardworking runner more and more everyday. I would like to attend a college where I can make my family, coaches and myself proud.
