I started running back in 9th grade in the middle of the Cross Country season. I had never run before and was a volleyball player before, but when I began running, I realized I really enjoyed it and was actually pretty good at it. I finished that season as the #1 girl on the team with a 24:40 5k. The past two years I have been one of the team captains for the girls, this year as the head team captain. I feel like I am someone who gives my all and never backs down even when something is really hard or difficult and I feel like quitting. I have two older brothers who were always very competitive with me, and since then I have never backed down when there is an important race and am normally built up by it. I really love my team and am always trying to help them and push them to work harder, and I definitely enjoy every minute I have with them. I run both Varsity Cross Country and Track and Field, though Cross Country is definitely my better season. In academics, I love pushing myself and will never take the easy route. This year I decided to take the two toughest AP's offered at my Highschool, and am also taking 3 college courses. By the end of highschool, I should have completed 3 AP courses and 6 college courses.
