I was born to run and I am getting creative with covid times.
If feels natural to run full speed, flying through the air leaping over a hurdle feels RIGHT, what I was meant to do.
I LOVE the feeling.
I have played soccer in my younger years and freshman year I was recruited from soccer to varsity track.
It has been a journey and I am so glad I took the plunge in a sport I had little training and experience.
I am holding 2nd place record for Santa Barbara high school for the 300 hurdles. If covid didn't happen I was determined to break that record.
I went to second round of CIF (One of two freshman able to compete in this competitive race) brand new to the sport of track and field with little training under my belt.
I was humbled and honored to receive "MOST VALUABLE PLAYER" This award was a perfect ending to my track season.
I am competitive and determined to break a high school records in the 300 hurdle.
I am also open to trying new events especially the 4 by 1, 4 by 4 and 200 meter run.
Unfortunately, Covid canceled my sophomore season.
We have moved from California to Hawaii and I am training at Hawaiʻi Preparatory Academy.
We got a SURPRISE spring season. This was shortened and we had four meets. Despite being rusty, it felt so good to compete again.
I am encouraged that despite a short season with only four meets my times improved with each competition. I had a PR in the 100 Hurdles.
I am humbled by my early results as a freshman and excited to see what further success additional training and coaching will bring.
My drive is STRONG, my work ethic FIERCE , my attitude POSITIVE and my energy HIGH.
I am competitive making me focused on improving my technique, time and speed.
I make me an ideal candidate for team sports because I care about my teams success as much as myself.
I am coachable, I play fair, and I ALWAYS cheer for my teammates with earnest enthusiasm.
I think of my team as an extension of family.
Running track in college is my #1 GOAL, it truly is my HAPPY place.
I look forward to starting the conversation to find the right coach and team.
