Freshman year I decided to join Harbor Track to train for my main sport at the time, volleyball, my first high school 1600 was a 6:15, later that same season I was able to PR at 5:44. This season helped me discover my own potential and realize that running was worth investing my full time and commitment, I made the decision to quit volleyball and started training for my first high school cross country season. During my cross country season in 2019 I placed top 5 at every league meet, and 12th at league finals, making the second team all league and qualifying for sectionals, where I placed 19th. However, just like the rest of the world, my sophomore year track was canceled due to Covid 19. I believe that dedication, commitment and consistency are everything. I believe that my work ethic can take me farther in this sport, and I am hoping to continue my athletic career after high school in a place where I can thrive on the track and in the classroom. My 4.6 cumulative GPA is evidence that I'm no stranger to hard work, a strenuous course load along with dedication to track and cross country has taught me how to be a proactive and focused student-athlete, who is willing to show up and work hard every day.
