Ever since I was young, running has been my outlet for stress, friendship, and leadership. I have been running for eleven years now. Running track and cross country has taught me how to be determined and how to persevere through multiple challenges even when it seems unattainable. I am able to utilize the fundamentals that I learned from running and apply them towards my academics and as a result, this has led me to be driven and hard-working both physically and academically. However, I have had to experience many challenges that have pushed me to obtain these attributes. I have learned that nothing will happen right away and that it takes patience in order to achieve success. Fortunately, I have been able to experience going to the state championships for cross country during my freshman year which was definitely one of the highlights of my running career. It also taught me how to set realistic expectations and goals. All of these ideas and fundamentals that I learned from running have helped me grow exponentially into the person that I am today. I am looking for a college that will challenge me and help push me to be the best version of myself both athletically and academically. As a four-time Junior Olympian in cross country and a three-year varsity athlete, I know what it takes to be a determined, opportunistic leader on your team!
