From the age of nine running has always been a huge part of my life. I have tried other sports, but running has really stuck and gives me purpose. I started out running on my youth team as a hobby. In high school, I've realized that running is my passion and want to pursue it in college.
Running has taught me that you have to work hard in life for what you want. In a sport as competitive as running, nothing is handed to you. If you want something you have to be willing to sacrifice. I wake up every day thinking how can I get better as a runner and what will it take for me to reach my fullest potential. I go out to practice and give it my best because how you practice is a big part of how you race. I'm pushing myself so that I can become one of the best.
I also make sure I work hard in school because college is very important to me. I strive for perfection which is a plus and a downfall at times but my intentions are always to be the best me I can be. I want to attend a college that is strong athletically and academically... One that is about helping people pursue there passions and goals while experiencing what life has to offer.
