Personal Statement

I am Veronica Sanchez. I am currently a junior at Central High School. I have been doing track for about a year and a half and although I am still a baby at it I believe that colleges will see how much potential I have to grow in this sport. I'm looking to have a major of sports science in college. I do track and field at my high school. I have been recognized by CHSSA with an Academic All State letter and have been given the title as a captain for my sprints team. I hold myself to high standards with sports and academics. I've been working on improving my times, form, and strength throughout my offseason in fall and winter and am increasing getting better. I have a preference major of wanting to do Sports Medicine or Human Movement Science. I would love to continue my academics and athletics throughout college.

  • I'm pretty new with track as i started my sophomore year. I've always been told to go out for it since middle school. I've played basketball for five years throughout middle school and two years of high school which helped me build up my speed. I'm a very determine person in competing with myself to get better and i love a good competition in running. I try to go out to the track everyday to work on my speed.
  • 3 times per week:200m

  • I am pretty new to this type of event. I try to go out to the track to practice my 200 at least three times a week to help build my endurance and speed. I do these less often than my 100m since it is not my main event but i still try to put as much work into them as I can.
