I, as a current high school junior, have competed in Cross Country and Track at the varsity level (3 years), as well as soccer at a varsity level (JV one year), and basketball at a JV level (2 years). During high school, I wanted to take advantage of my opportunity to play multiple sports, so I do not think I have reached my full potential in running. As I look towards my collegiate career, I want to expand and focus my running talents and further my competitive running experience. I hope to use my natural running abilities, paired with my resilient work ethic in order to gain financial aid to help me further in my education as well. I also wish to grow and compete as an athlete at the collegiate level. In terms of my academic future, I am currently undecided in my intended major; however, I do believe I want to study something that has to do with math, and am leaning towards a degree in engineering. I may also consider a major in communications or law. I believe my future academic success should not be an area of concern, as I currently have a 4.55 weighted GPA (4.0 unweighted) and ranked in the 99th percentile on my plan test.
