Hi, I'm Lexi Borger! I'm an incoming senior in high school. I'm currently homeschooled and participate in sports through Thompson Valley High School.
Sports has always been a passion of mine. I became an athlete for the first time when I was in kindergarten. Since then, I have been a part of basketball, volleyball, cross country, and track.
The sport I've benefitted the most from has been track and field. Being able to push myself to my physical and mental limits has enabled me to grow so much as a person.
Ultimately, when you set your feet in the blocks and wait for the gun, the only person you compete against is yourself. Every time you prepare to race, jump, or throw, you must ask yourself if you are willing to give everything you have in just a few seconds. Countless times I have disappointed myself, but failure has only pushed me to a fiercer desire to succeed.
The team culture of a track team is very special compared to other sports. Throughout every workout and every meet, the team is supporting and encouraging, whether you're a sprinter, long distance runner, jumper, or thrower.
In any situation I end up, I can guarantee you that I will be 100% committed. I may not be the most gifted athlete, but that will not prevent me from putting in my all. I will be early and stay late to every practice. At every meet, I will be present and positive, making sure to be a light for my fellow athletes. I will be respectful and appreciative to any individual in authority, whether they are a coach or an official. I acknowledge that as a student athlete, the student comes first. This means I will remain devoted to keeping my grades up all season long.
I would love to compete at a college level in track and field, but my first preference goes to receiving a Christ-centered education with competitive academics and a Godly community.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my profile! Have a blessed day!
