Veronica Chrzanowski '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Veronica Chrzanowski and I'm part of the class of 2018 at Haddam-Killingworth High School in Haddam, CT. My strongest events are the triple jump (first-team all conference, New England qualifier), the long jump (1st team all conference, second team all state), and the 200m dash (2nd team all conference), however I also compete in the 100, 4x200, Sprint Medley, and 4x100. I have qualified for both the Shoreline Conference Championship and CIAC Class State Championships ever since I was a freshman. Also, I have competed in the CIAC Open State Championships in both my indoor and outdoor season of sophomore, junior, and senior year. I also competed in the New England Championships in outdoor of my senior year. 

Growing up, I had a strong love for soccer and I always remember everyone telling me that I was so fast on the field. Multiple people had told me that I should try track once I got to high school, and I'm so glad I did. Now, playing both soccer and track during the year, I realize how awesome the "love of a game/sport" can be. I now know that track is something I would love to get the opportunity to do in college. Track has helped me develop as a person, and being an athlete, I realize how important it is to bring a positive attitude and dedication to a team, which I feel like I definitely do. Also, I set standards very high for myself and strive to achieve all of my goals. Along with running both indoor and outdoor track, I also realize that school work is important, so I make sure to balance both athletics and academics throughout the year. I have played sports for as long as I can remember and I have a strong passion for track and field. I'm looking to pursue and further this passion even more-so in the upcoming years.
