Although this year is full of the unknown, I know one thing will stay the same; my passion for pole vaulting. Despite picking up a pole a little late, I immediately fell in love with the sport and had an instant drive to become better when I began in the spring of my sophomore year. I would love to vault and run track in college, and to major in something related to the medical field. I play two other sports, leaving me in pique physical shape year round. Even so, I am still an active member in my community and many clubs as well as managing to take multiple advanced classes. My time management and involvement are characteristics that set me apart from other athletes.
My ambition leads me to practicing in my free time, whether it’s practicing my plants, working on my running form, or hitting the gym, to overall consistently improve. I always try my hardest at everything and I believe this drive is what sets me apart from other athletes. Therefore, I think I would make an excellent candidate for a collegiate team due to my fitness level, ambition, passion, and time management skills.
