Athletics and academics are both incredibly important to me. I’m always looking to improve and be the best version of myself that I can, in both areas of my life, I enjoy challenging myself, and I enjoy seeing the fruits of all my hard work and efforts,; to achieve new PR times and results. Being a three-sport athlete, I have come to gain many important personal skills. I didn't start running track until my freshmen year of high school and 1 year for my track club before this season; due to CoVID-19 getting my high school and track club seasons cancelled last year.
My academics are an extremely high priority in my life. While playing sports, I’ve had to engage my time management skills to ensure the quality of my studies. I've held a heavy load of classes, honors, and dual-enrollment courses. I have made honor roll, principal honor roll, been inducted into the National Scholars, and have been part of the Upward Bound Program for the past 4 years, as well as completed over 200 hours of community service. Recently, I was nominated for the Silver Knight Award in Athletics at my school level. In addition, I've also been most recently nominated and selected to represent my school as the All-County Female Scholar Athlete.
My goal after high school is to compete at the collegiate level while earning my degree in Physical Therapy or Exercise Science. The goal is to find a school that will recruit me into their track program, one that will challenge me in both my athletic and the academic areas of my life; as well as, help me prepare and reach Olympic dream, professional career, and achieve success in life after college.
