I started track when I was around 7-10. I started as a distance runner, running 1500, 1600, and 800. Once I got into high school, my coach dropped me down to 400m, and ever since that’s what I’ve been doing. I think the 800 is my event but the 400m is cool also. My future goals are to go to compete at the next level and go to college so I’ll become a veterinarian to provide for my family. One of my biggest downs is when my father passed when I was 14. I was devastated and felt like giving up on track. But I knew he wouldn't want that, so I didn't stop. In school, I wouldn’t say in the brightest but I still make sure my work gets done. Not really a big Math person, but I love science. School can be really hard while being a student-athlete but I always tell myself, to stay on it. One thing I always tell myself is if I have to train like I want it. What motivates this goal is winning. I’m a competitive person and I don’t like losing, I be mad if I even come in second. Yea I love pr-ing, but losing? Nah don’t like it. I’ll be a good candidate because I’m a highly motivated and hardworking individual. I couldn’t imagine my life without track and field. My coaches tell me that my strongest asset is my work ethic
