Personal Statement
My name is Nicole Novak,
I am a Senior in High school. I am looking for the opportunity to do what I love most in high school and be able to carry it out to college. I fell in love with track and field when I was in middle school. Moving around a lot no matter where I have lived, I have always been good at sprinting. I currently live in Orlando and attend Lake Buena Vista High School.
Continuing my love for Track and Field at this school, I currently hold 5 school records, the 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 4x400and the 4 by 100 relay. As much as I love track and field I am also involved with other sports to keep me occupied, Cross country, Sideline cheer, Girl's Weightlifting, Competitive Cheer, and Track and Field. I am also a part of our school's JROTC Military program to help me grow as a leader and become a better person overall.
Academics are just as important as sports, I currently have a 3.5 unweighted GPA and a 4.0 weighted GPA. Although I've struggled with academics moving around so much I always try to do my best and only my best knowing how important my academics are for my future.
What makes me a good candidate for your Track and Field team is my drive and motivation. I have the motivation to always do better and work day to night to help me improve my overall performance, I also have leadership. This helps a team be steered in the right direction at all times. I have focus on my priorties, academically and as an athlete.
