After trying out several sports growing up, none of them had made such a lasting impact on me as cross-country did. At first, I wasn't planning on doing cross-country in high school until my middle school coach, who saw my athletic potential, urged me to try it out. I ended up loving the sport even more and transferring schools to take my academics and athletics more seriously to prepare myself for college. Throughout the way, running became the anchor in my life, and I became more motivated to get out of bed, be the healthiest version of myself, and hold myself to the highest standard in all parts of my life. These experiences taught me to be a leader, a team player, and a determined athlete that I value while becoming a collegiate athlete and developing into the best runner I can be. Being part of a team at such a competitive level is something I can endure, and I am determined to excel in.
