I've be doing cross country for 4 years and I'm working towards my 5th up coming year. I thoroughly enjoy cross country! I started cross country in 6th grade, and instantly feel in love with the sport. My 8th grade year my team won almost every meet, and we went on to place 5th at state. We also won region twice the 1st time for middle school and the 2nd time for the JV team. This year my 2020-2021 season we had a good season. The girls team was made of 5 girls and 4/5 were freshman including myself. Our girls team wasn't even suppose to make it to sate, but we did and we put up a great fight. In my 2020-2021 season of track I got 3rd or 4th a lot for the 1 mile with a time of 6:30. The day before region my track coach put together a 4x800 team which I was on, and I was the first leg. We went on to qualify for sectionals, and then state. We placed 10th out of 16 teams. I would not only love to continue my athletic career with the sport that I love, but also my academic career. I'm very focused and dedicated , and I have many goals that I want to achieve. I'm also very diverse I not only run, but I do crossfit and dance. When people ask me to try something new I do it. I hope this gives you a better understanding of how my success in this sport has gone so far ,and that I am going to continue to grow and get better.
