Hello my name is Allison Baker, I have a very strong work ethic and I am always prepared for the next thing. I've been involved in sports since I was about four years old, love playing all sports, especially running Cross Country. Sports are very fascinating to me and I enjoy not only participating in them, but watching them as well. I take much pride in everything I do in life and my commitments, always looking for ways not just to improve myself but my team. Accomplishments doesn't come easy, I work hard for what I have, I feel my strong work ethic has gotten me far in life. I don't think things should be handed to you, I strongly believe a person should have to earn something for them to be rewarded. A quote I have learned from my coach, "Nothing is given, it is earned". A strong work ethic is a very strong characteristic to have in academics, but especially in sports. I strive hard to show an encouraging work ethic not just to my coaches, but in life. I have always focused on getting good grades and maintaining a high GPA. Maintaining a high grade point average with multiple sports and school is definitely not an easy task, but I think I have gotten better about learning how to balancing it throughout the years. I have been able to keep above a 3.5 GPA from my Freshman to my now Senior year, my current GPA is a 3.66. School and sports together is a big commitment, and if you not in it one hundred percent, then it becomes a struggle to keep up. If I commit to something I stick with it until I finish it, and with that commitment I am very passionate about what I am involved in.
