Personal Statement
Hi, My name is Meredith. I was born in southeast Michigan and lived in Canton, MI until I was 7 1/2 years old. We then lived in Lafayette, IN until I was almost 11. We now live in Sharpsburg, GA.
I started running Track in 7th grade and also ran my first 5K that spring and came in 3rd in my age group. I fell in love with running that spring. I ran track for Madras Middle School in 7th & 8th Grade, running the 800m and 1600m. I ran Cross Country for Northgate High School starting in 8th grade. I made varsity as a freshman and was named Rookie of the Year. Our team qualified for state my 9th and 10th grade year. I made varsity as a freshman for Track that spring, running the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m. I will be able to run the 400m as a sophomore this spring.
I would like to major in Kinesiology / Exercise Science and/or Athletic Training and minor in Business. We have friends and family in the midwest as well as the south.
