2020 Highlights Personal Statement
The first time I ran a race I was 10 years old, and I knew I never wanted to let that feeling go. That feeling has driven me to go to the state level through my public city track team 3 years in a row. (6th-8th grade). When it came time for high school, I put everything I had into each race and practice. It resulted in me beating anyone who thought they were faster. I didn’t win every race, but for each one I pushed my hardest; to fulfill my dream of going to college on a scholarship and make myself and my family proud. I’ve had these dreams since I was 10 years old, and I still have 2 years of high school track left. My plan right now is to continue to push and break limits, and to see where it will take me!
