Hi, my name is Hannah Combs and I am currently a senior at Columbia High School in Nampa, Idaho. I hope to further my running career in college and pursue a degree in engineering preferably, chemical engineering. I have maintained a strong GPA while taking AP/honor classes, college courses as well as compete in XC, Indoor Track and Outdoor track.
I started running competitively at a young age through the YMCA Team Idaho Track program, I then furthered my running in middle school and high school. As a freshmen in high school I placed 20th at the State cross country meet finishing with a time of 19:37.9. Following my freshmen season of track I sustained an injury that kept me from competing my sophomore year but returned stronger and more determined my junior year and qualified to the state XC meet with a time of 19:15.0 and finished 11th at the state cross country meet. My favorite cross country memory has been making new friends from other teams and breaking my own course record at the Bug town Canyon County Championship meet; I currently hold the course record with a time of 19:09.0. I am looking forward to my upcoming senior season of Track.
I strive to be the best student I can be as well as be the best runner I can be. When I'm not running you can find me coaching young kids how to ski race, riding my bike or volunteering with my Girl Scout troop.
