Running is the one of the few places in my soul is free. (Well other than crushing my pervious PR) If I have had a bad day and I want to cry or run my head into a wall it brings me joy that sometimes I just need. When the world feels heavy running is my escape, my happy place, the one place where I'm free. Running, pushing my body to move faster is exhilarating. I use strength training to improve my endurance and speed out of the blocks. Even in a classroom environment I use the same techniques to push myself to go the extra mile and get the A that I know I deserve. Challenges don't scare me, they push me to be a better student and athlete.
As the start of my regular high school season will be starting I unfortunately won't be able to compete. I have a full thickness tear of my ACL and a bucket handle tear in my medial meniscus, therefore I am out for the season. On a better note, this is only my sophomore year and I will be back for my junior year. That is why the results of my previous PRs are from my freshman year. I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
