I've been running since 6th grade, but I never found my race. That is, until I was a freshman and joined cross country. It was crazy to think that I could go from running the 400 to running a 3 mile race. My very first race, I placed 1st place. From that moment on, I feel in love with distance running.
I only have one cross country season remaining. I have come to realize that I don't want it to end there. In cross country and track you become family. I think I would transition to college life so much better with a new cross and track family.
I feel I am a versatile runner being able to run anything from the 800 to the 3 mile (or more). Not only am I a dedicated athlete, I am a dedicated student. My greatest academic accomplishment was getting inducted into National Honor Society. My work both on and off the course/track would offer a lot to your team.
