Personal Statement

I have been running track since I was 12 years old and playing sports since I could walk. When I got to middle school I was introduced to running for competition and fell in love with it ever since. Since then, I have dreamed of competing at the collegiate level and opening myself up to new and more challenging opportunities. Competing at this level is not something everybody has the chance to do and for me to have that chance to do so is a cherished opportunity!

In school, I study and work hard in the classroom and stay on top of my schoolwork to make sure I am performing to the best of my ability, I do everything I can to maintain a high GPA. My schooling is important to me and excelling in that aspect is something I am constantly striving to do.

I train year-round whether that be on my own time, in club track, or participating in other sports as well. I am quick out of the blocks and work hard to get quicker between then and the finish line everyday. I am constantly trying to be a leader to my teammates and peers and am a very coachable athlete willing to do what it takes to be an elite athlete. I push myself to the extent of my abilities whenever the opportunity presents itself so that I know I am always leaving everything out there on the track. I expect a lot from and am very hard on myself, but I feel this only makes me work that much harder and heightens my competitive drive!

I hope to attend a college that supports my field of study, radiology, and that strives to provide the best possible environment for not just the students but the athletes as well. I want to be able to push myself not only in the classroom, but on the track and am open to all options of colleges where this could be a reality. I wish to compete at the highest possible level and work hard to hopefully achieve this goal. Being a leader and role model to those around me is very important to me and I aspire to further showcase this at a college that is the best match for me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
