Sienna Metz '25 Recruiting Profile

As a dedicated pole vaulter, my journey at Pontiac High School has been marked by a sincere commitment to progress and achievement. I've been fortunate to experience moments of personal triumph, such as reaching a personal best of 10'8 in practice and achieving a noteworthy clearance of 10'2 during the IWU Normal West invite on March 13, 2023 and 10'3 at state placing 9th and becoming a All Stater for Track and Field.  I just recently qualified for the Junior Olympics in Greensboro, NC and will compete at the end of July.

Throughout my current Junior year, I've consistently found myself among the Top 3 competitors at all four indoor tournaments, a testament to my resilience and competitive spirit. One of my proudest moments was securing a place in the State meet during my sophomore year, propelled by a jump of 9 feet 9 inches at sectionals. And then this year placing 9th in the State Finals at 10 Feet 3 Inches.

With each success, I've nurtured a deep-seated desire to challenge myself further and explore new heights. Looking ahead, I'm fully committed to continuing this journey at the collegiate level. My immediate goal for the Junior year is to surpass the 11-foot mark, with a long-term aspiration of reaching 12.5 feet by my senior year in track, scheduled for 2025.

I'm genuinely excited about the prospect of contributing to your collegiate program, not only through my skills and determination but also through my eagerness to learn and grow. I believe in the values of teamwork, perseverance, and continuous improvement, which I see reflected in the ethos of your institution.
