Growing up, I've always focused on volunteering (Animal shelters, food drives, campaigning, etc.) because I had never found a sport that particularly interested me. Once I hit seventh grade I fell in love with track. I knew it would be hard committing to athletics, academics, and volunteering, but the feeling you get knowing you're doing everything you love while still helping others is something I would never give up. Throughout college (even now) I plan on taking each of these to the next level. I want to achieve the best grade possible, take track to a new level that I never knew was possible, and start planning to join the Peace Corps at my nearest opportunity. All of this is only the beginning of what I would like to do in life, and my goals will only get bigger.
