Hello my name is Chloe Amburgey. I'm a Senior at South Side High School and am on the varsity track and cross country team. I've been running since I was about five and have kept with it ever since. I started running with my dad who is a six time marathon runner. I am also planned to break the school record this year in cross country and was all SAC last year. Since my high school career, I have become much more competitive. Running has always been a social and mental break for me. It is the only thing other than basic needs I don't think I could live without. I have such a deep love for my sports and I love being able to connect with the people in them.
I am also involved in Spanish club and Section K. Section K is my school's sports fan club. This past semester, I was my class' Section K leader. I organized game day themes, cheers, and other things regarding sports. Although I love the other extracurriculars I'm in, nothing compares to running. I hope to be able to continue my career in college in the following years.
