I started running my 6th grade year. I started with xc because a teacher I always looked up to told me she wanted to come watch me one day and thought I would go far with it. I started to love running and being on the team so I also tried track. I tried many events from hurdles all the way to discuss. I eventually learned cross country wasn’t for me, but I kept with track my 7th grade year I found my love for the 400 and found out it was my speciality. Now I’m in my 11th grade year and still haven’t lost my love for it. I work hard and love to challenge myself every time I step on the track. I love the feeling of accomplishing my goals whatever they are. Through running track I have learned I can get very nervous but I learn how to overcome it and control my nerves. I have learned how hard I can push myself. I struggle to motivate myself I always tell myself I can do better than what I’m doing even when I’m doing the best, I can and I have been working on that every day. I can tell you anything that is put in front of me I can do no matter the task, I am very outgoing and can get along with anyone and make anyone feel comfortable around me. I can add character, happiness, love, and strength and athleticism to any team I am put on and I will hope and work for that chance.
