I am a “small-town” girl.
I have lived my whole life in Perry County, Indiana. I've gone to Elementary, Middle-School, Highschool, & Religion classes with the same kids for the past 17 years. Everyone always talks about life in Perry County, like there is nothing outside of these small towns. However, I want to prove everyone wrong, and I will prove everyone wrong. I have full trust that my family and faith will not only support me but help lead me down the correct path. My relationship with God has completely evolved ever since I started running. And I can tell you, first hand, that you get a lot of time to reflect on yourself and life running hundreds of miles in the middle of nowhere. My love for animals was formed through my family, and animals ultimately helped me grow my love for running as a kid. In middle school, when I first started running it was like the “honeymoon” stage, until I got to off-season training by myself. However, I never got bored of running by myself, because I was never really by myself. My early morning runs were instead filled with saving turtles, petting cows, horses, and dogs, and running from terrifying but harmless snakes. Now, I can instead drive to greenways & trails, so I don’t get to run with the animals as much as I used to. But, I will forever remember where I came from and just simply travel this journey following God’s lead.
I am more than a “small-town” girl.
