Cyerra Sims '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi coaches,

My name is Cyerra Sims, and I am a senior at Merrillville High School. I want to major in Nursing, and my goal is to recieve a bachelor's degree. I have been a varsity athlete since freshman year, and has recieved awards such as: MVP, Leadership, and Outstanding Mid-Distance runner. I have been team captain and recognized for my talent. I am also a regional and national qualifier for track and field and cross country, which shows the effort I've made to achieve my goals. I am running around a 2:20, in the 800 meter dash, and I am focusing on running a sub 2:15 this year. Sacrifices, like eating healthy and studying hard are also made, so that I can become a better athlete. I am looking for a great school and track and field program, so that I can become an excellent addition to the team, as well. As of recently, the season has just started, and I successfully ran a :59 in the 400 meters. My coaches believe I am capable of dominating this year, and cannot wait for the 800 meter time trials. I Hope to start off outdoor season this year under 2:20.
