Hello my name is Allison Richardson and I am at student at Merrillville High school, class of 2021. I am a member of the Merrillville High School Girl's volleyball team as middle blocker, with a secondary position is a right-side hitter. I started playing volleyball in 8th grade and fell in love with the sport at that time. For the past three years I have played varsity as a starter. In 2018 I was named MVP, leading our team in blocks, aces, and kills. I have also played club volleyball since 2016, sitting on national teams for the past 3 years. Being very vocal on the court as well as continuing to put in work off the court, I am seen as an asset to the team and a leader by my teammates and coaches. In addition to volleyball, I also participate in track and field at Merrillville High as a member of the Shot Put team. Outside of sports I am a Freshman Mentor and I play bass in the Merrillville High School Orchestra. I am extremely passionate about volleyball and would love to continue to play the sport on a collegiate level while pursuing studies in athletic training.
