My goals and aspirations as a discus thrower is to improve my technique, footwork, release, strength, and my stance. I've been throwing since I was 12 years old and I continue to love it more each year. I feel I am a good candidate for a team because I am a positive, supportive team member and a very hard worker. I am always looking for ways to be a better thrower.
I believe that character is the hallmark of a person. I am a kind, compassionate, never give up kind of person. I don't put myself into situations that would disappoint my family, team or coaches. Athletics wise, I do not joke around during practice. I pay attention to all throwers as they are throwing. If someone was corrected on their throw, I will make sure to take the coaches critique and apply it to myself. There is no reason for a coach to keep repeating themselves over and over. In our home, academics come first. I take my classes very seriously and, just like with throwing, am always looking for ways to do a better job.
I believe that 100% should be given, at all times. That is my goal everyday, in both the classroom and at track. I believe that if it is worth doing, it is worth doing right.
