Hello! My name is Brynn Wendt, I am a senior at Gehlen Catholic High School in Le Mars, Iowa. I was admitted to my school's Honor Society my junior year. I have been running track since 7th grade with the exception of my freshman year due to COVID.
Ever since I have started running track I have wanted to compete at a higher level. My passion for track has given me the courage to keep pushing despite not having a track to run on at my school. During my junior year of track we had multiple meets canceled due to weather, but I was still able to reduce my 100 time by 1.5 seconds before the end of the season. This year I plan to decrease my personal record by another 1/2 second, which should allow me to qualify for the individual 100 at state. I believe this is attainable with my self motivation.
