In the track season of 18-19 I made a huge jump in my throwing career. As I was still throwing in varsity meets as a freshman, my sophomore year it had only gotten better! In my sophomore season I had swept my conference in both shotput and discus. I then went onto districts getting 2nd in shotput- putting me at 6th in the state. I had also gotten 7th in disc but did not make the cut for state. At my first state meet as only a sophomore, I got 10th. I finished off the season getting all-conference in both shot and disc. After the season I took 2 weeks to myself and then jumped right back into it throwing and lifting every morning before work. In the 2019 summer I also went to throw at the Iowa Games in Ames- getting first in both events. I am beyond dedicated to this sport and I can say I genuinely love it. All I can hope and pray for is it the never ends! I not only am dedicated to becoming the best athlete I can, but I also strive to be a positive role model in my community. I do this by serving as the beef princess of my county, I am very active in my FFA and 4-H groups, and I am also very active in my church. Along with that, I also strive to be a good student by keeping up my 3.8-3.9 GPA and staying on my schools honor role for the past 4 semesters running.
