I am very self driven, my freshman year of Track I was on JV and I wasnt the fastest on the team but I showed up to every practice and put in my all. The summer, fall and winter before my sophomore year's track season I began weight training, going on 2 mile runs and sprinting daily because I wanted to get faster and I knew I had to put in the effort to do so. After working hard those 3 seasons, my sophomore year I took 10 seconds off of my 400m and the coaches decided to have me try the 4x800m relay. I earned my varsity spot that year and I still continue put in work daily to continue to PR and get faster. The XC coach talked me into doing XC and my first year of doing so I ran a 22:39 as my 5k my Junior year. I joined a club track team the summer of my Junior year and I also joined indoor track. My goal is to cut 5 seconds off my 400m and cut 19 seconds off my 800m. My junior year wasn't the best because I had bronchitis in the beginning and instead of resting I continued to run and workout because I didn't want to get slower, but that was not the best decision because despite having a good indoor season, the rest of my outdoor season ended up not being good since I didn't rest properly, I have learned my lesson. Instead of being disapointed and just letting that be the end, I continue everyday to be better than I was last year and the year before that. I am not letting the past discourage me and I continue to get better daily so I can eventually get the season I want this year. I am not a quitter.
