Personal Statement
I am interested in being a MULTI-EVENT track and field athlete. I am a 3 sport athlete who has assisted all 3 of my high school teams (XC, basketball, and track & field) the past 2 years to make it to the state competition in each sport and to finish in the top 4 in all but 1. I have lettered in all sports every year of my high school career.
I was the Kansas State 800m Run champion in 2023 and 2024 and was runner up as a freshman. I excel in track because I put in a lot of extra work. I compete in a variety of events (800m run, 100M H, 4 x 400m relay, and LJ) which requires more work and dedication. I have made it to the Kansas State track meet in all 4 events all 3 years of my high school career so far. I enjoy the individualization of track because I can control the work I put in and do not have to count on others putting in the same amount of work, as you would in a strictly team sport. I also ran summer track for the Kansas Flyers Track club, competing in the 4 x 800 relay in which we were National Champions in 2023 in the 15-16yr old division. I am currently competing on the 4 x 800 relay team in the 17-18yr old division for the Kansas Flyers.
I am a very hardworking and driven individual. Not only have I found success in sports, but I have also maintained a 4.0 GPA during High school while being not only involved in sports year round, but also in various clubs and other activities.
