There are a lot of reasons of why I am the person that I am today. I’m from a small town where sports are a big part of daily life. On Fall Friday nights almost the whole town shows up to support our football team. Growing up, I saw that all of the support from my hometown helping these athletes try their best and inspiring them to go places. Seeing this support, and receiving supportive comments myself, inspires me to be the best athlete I can. I went through a lot of "favorite" sports (MAYB Basketball, Rec sports, and USSSA/ASA Softball), until I was introduced to track and I just fell in love with it. Track came into my life Jr. High, but it wasn't competitive until high school. I love the adrenaline rush that simply being in the ring gives me. The excitement of stepping in the ring and feeling all eyes on you, is what I fell in love with. Through track, I have learned what being a good teammate means and how important it is to push each other to improve.
In college I want to study to be either an anesthesiologist or a pediatrician; I want to challenge myself with the career I pursue. The same concept transfers into my athletics, I want to challenge myself to get better and not just stay at the same playing level. I tend to have a competitive attitude when in the ring, because it has a great impact on how I throw. I will do everything I can to not only better myself, but the people around me. I feel as if I would be a great person to add to any team. I would put in the time and the effort to better myself to meet and exceed your expectations.
