I developed my passion for running my freshman year of high school, when I made the varsity team as a freshman. It was very surprising to me because I just wanted to run, but I wasn't exactly sure if I was good at it. Being aware that I was eligible to compete at the highest level made me gain a passion for running. I wanted to be even more competitive. When I run, I gain control of my mindset. For instance, how hard I'm willing to work to accomplish a goal and how to control my body language always. Through successful and unsuccessful seasons, I gained knowledge on the importance of being a good teammate, team work, and keeping a positive mindset and attitude at all times. In addition, I've learned to stop wishing and start doing. If I get the opportunity to run in college, I will continue to be hardworking both in academics and in running. To conclude, I will demonstrate my skill and passion for running the best that I can.
