Personal Statement
I aspire to help people but at the same time, running is something I make a point of keeping up on. When I started cross country, I didn't think I would last. I thought I would try it out just because. On the day of tryouts, I started with a lazy attitude. Then, I fell in love with the sport. It became my outlet. Instead of broadcasting my anger and emotions, I ran. I didn't even know I was a good runner until Tony Sacra persuaded me to try out. I am eternally grateful for his persistence and belief in my abilities I had no idea I was capable of.
