The reason why I am a great candidate for your college team is because my goal is to not only see continuous self improvement, but the whole team's improvement as well. I train in a variety of ways and have taken part of many different sports including: track, cross country, swim, Ballet, and powerlifting, all in order to excel in my sport. Even tho I focus on my AP classes and sports in school, I still make time to give back to the community and uphold my responsibilities in JROTC and Student council. I've accumulated over 1,000 hrs of community service since freshman year.
For me, one of the most important factors of playing any sport is to be there for your team mates, to help them grow along with you, and to make sure that everyone enjoys what they're doing. And to have a coach that knows what they're doing and will do what's best for the team.
You can have the best athletes in the world, but if they're unhappy, it amounts to nothing.
That's why I do my best to motivate my team mates at practice and before their events. You have to get the whole team hyped up before meets so that nervous energy turns to excitement and confidence. It makes training and meets so much more enjoyable and exciting and everyone is mentally ready to win.
