Abby Harris '21 Recruiting Profile

As an athlete who has been involved in cross country for roughly 6 years, my passion for the sport has grown deeply. After facing several setbacks during my high school career, there are still goals that I want to achieve, and I feel that running on the collegiate level will allow me to reach them. Being one of the youngest in my class, I have proven that I can compete with the top percentile of runners because of my thirst and passion for success. I am very driven when it comes to both athletics and academics, refusing to accept anything less than my best. I have worked day in and out for my entire academic and athletic career to aim high and reach the goals that I have set for myself. I am ranked 1st in my high school class academically and have been the leader of my high school cross country team since I was a freshman, constantly pushing, motivating, and bringing my teammates closer together. Having endured health problems that have forced me to take extensive time off in the past and, as any athlete, several injuries throughout my career, I am now more motivated than ever to achieve my goals by training smarter and staying healthy.
