Ciara Venable '20 Recruiting Profile

I've been running since 6th grade, and ever since I discovered it, I feel like I have found my comfort. Running, for fun or competitively, provides me with a way to release all the other stressors from the day, and in turn I never stop trying to better my times or achieve a new goal. My favorite thing about a team, either cross country or track, is the feeling of family. I love being surrounded by those who like to challenge themselves and set higher goals individually or as a team. My love to challenge myself continues past athletics as I continuously choose the harder option in academics which is evident in my course schedule and grades. I am so excited to keep running throughout my life and to find a college that challenges me not just in athletics but academics as well.
